Spotify stopped requiring a Facebook account a few days ago
They added a “sign up with an e-mail address” option to their sign-up page. No need for a Facebook account to sign up anymore.
The create an account using my e-mail address is somewhat hidden at the bottom of the signup page.

Looks like the sign up with an e-mail address is not working in all countries. Users from Finland have reported that they get redirected to the Facebook sign up.

The Facebook requirement is back up. The non-FB sign up link is gone.
Zuckerberg must have complained.

That link just directs me back to the “You need Facebook” page and it has no alternative method. Tried from Finland.

Yes. It seems that the non-Facebook option is now gone from Finnish users. hpguru from the Spotify community is also not seeing a non-FB option anymore and he is also from Finland.

I actually managed to get it to work. I deleted all cookies from spotify.com.
There seems to be a secret cookie that blocks the email signup option from appearing. Deleting cookies fixed it.
