NME app: good, PlayMySong App: better

New Musical Expres released their Spotify App. Great app, but we have seen that concept before.

The brand new PlayMySong App however does adds extra features to Spotify.

You drag a playlist to the app:

Now you, or anyone listening to the music can pick up their iOS, Android, or Windows Phone device to select the song they want to play next.

Great for your parties. And how about bars and restaurants where they have Spotify running. ( Officially not allowed, I know).  Even if you are on your own it is a great way to remote control Spotify.

Available in the Spotify App Finder

  1. Hi! Just wanted to thank you (on behalf of all of us here at Playmysong) for the awesome write up. It’s exciting to be getting such positive feedback about our new Spotify app :) Regarding bars and restaurants- there are currently many venues around the world (NYC, Helsinki, Berlin, etc.) utilizing the service, as bars/venues can also easily use their own music collections running on iOS, Android, Windows or even Winamp! All of these are downloadable from our site.

If you have any more questions/comments about the app, please don’t hesitate to get in contact with us!

  2. Ok, so I install the app on Spotify on my PC, sign in using facebook and drag in my playlist. It starts to play songs OK in Spotify.

I download and install the android app on my phone. I log in via Facebook, and it does not show my playlist, just lists the music on my local computer. In fact it seems to identify me using one of my facebook Pages rather than my facebook profile.

    Great Idea..if it worked!
